Title of Work: Captured Spaces
Statement: When viewing these photographs, one might witness a glimpse of existing life within the captured spaces. Yet, the blank canvas, recognizable structures create an anonymous feeling. With no further information can we be sure what is beyond the walls? Accepting the unknown requires us to view the image as it exists rather than for what it is.
This body of work was captured in the first few months of quarantine, a time filled with the unknown. Despite the constant conversations about COVID-19, there were more questions than answers.
